South Lyon Lions Varsity's effort to come back from down seven runs in the second inning came up just short, as they fell 8-7 to South Lyon East on Thursday.  South Lyon Lions Varsity scored seven runs in the failed comeback. Madison McKenzie, Grace Walters,  Walters, Ava Bradshaw, Ella Vitale, and Emily Johnson powered the rally with RBIs.

South Lyon Lions Varsity was right in it until South Lyon East singled in the ninth inning.

In the first inning, South Lyon East got their offense started when A Hollo's sac fly scored one run for South Lyon East.

South Lyon Lions Varsity evened things up at seven in the bottom of the fifth inning.  Johnson singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

South Lyon Lions Varsity put up four runs in the fourth inning.  Walters, Bradshaw, and Vitale powered the big inning with RBIs.

South Lyon East scored four runs in the second inning.  C Loveland, Hollo, and L Sciborski each drove in runs during the inning.

K Solberg got the start for South Lyon East. The fireballer surrendered four runs on five hits over three and two-thirds innings, striking out four.

Walters toed the rubber for South Lyon Lions Varsity. The pitcher went one and one-third innings, allowing six runs on six hits, striking out three and walking one.  Bradshaw, Julia Duncan, and Riley O’Connell each contributed in relief for South Lyon Lions Varsity.

South Lyon Lions Varsity tallied two home runs on the day. Bradshaw had a homer in the fourth inning. Walters went deep in the third inning.

South Lyon Lions Varsity collected 12 hits on the day.  Walters, Duncan, Cece Dudek, and Bradshaw all managed multiple hits for South Lyon Lions Varsity.  Walters led South Lyon Lions Varsity with three hits in five at bats.

South Lyon East tallied 11 hits in the game.  D Lis, L Czajkowski, and Loveland each collected multiple hits for South Lyon East.  Lis went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead South Lyon East in hits.
